Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra has issued a stern warning to pornstar-actor Sunny Leone and music composers Shaarib and Toshi to issue an apology and take down their latest song Madhuban Mein Radhika Naache within three days.
Produced by Saregama Music, Kanika Kapoor and Arindam Chakraborty, the song was released on Wednesday. The video has clocked close to 10 million views on YouTube alone.
Mishra, who holds the home minister in the BJP government of Madhya Pradesh, said in a video message, “I want to reiterate once again. There are so many atheists, who are continuously hurting the sentiments of Hindus. Radha Maa, Krishna are our Gods. There are separate temples for Radha in this country.”
Mishra added, “We worship Maa Radha. Can Saaqib Toshi (sic) make one such song involving his religion? But they can hurt our religious sentiments. I am ordering Sunny Leone and Saaqib Toshi (sic) to understand and behave.”
The minister said that he was also seeking a legal opinion from experts adding that he will initiate legal action if the song was not taken down in the next three days.
Interestingly, the song Madhuban was originally sung by Mohammed Rafi in 1960 in the film Kohinoor.
Recently, a Mathura-based Hindutva leader had also raised objections on the new song featuring Sunny Leone.
